no shade but some of u guys come off as rlly sheltered/privileged with ur response to everything thats happened. obviously its nothing to scoff at but boston is mostly pretty safe, just seems like its not cuz these incidents happened back to back

honestly im less freaked out about the whole stabbings and shootings thing and more pissed about the fucking admin and nupd saying nothing about it like radio silence from them is ridiculous. i should not be hearing abt this stuff from yikyak and reddit.
it’s not the fact that these things are happening itself, it’s the lack of transparency from our school that people are upset with. if there’s shots fired outside of a residence hall, that is something that the campus should alert students of for safety, the same way the news alerts citizens of things that happen
everyone in the comments i hear u. we def need more transparency. im talking about the people who were saying stuff like “im scared to go to class” and stuff like that
I said that after the stabbing because we had no information and the guy was still out there, most of the panic comes from the lack of transparency. If I had gotten actual timely updates I would have felt differently. Most people fear the unknown more than the known
