what's the benefit to a suicide bid i'm so confused

if u have 2 houses and really only like one or only imagine yourself in one and get that one then u are automatically in. you don’t have to risk getting the second option. its really just like i want this one house or nothing at all and if ur content w that then go for it

wait but is a bid acceptance not an automatic acceptance? is there another step? i'm not involved in greek life 😭

a bid acceptance is automatic but you are agreeing that you are okay with the two houses that you have. you don’t know which but you rank them 1 and 2. you usually can get your first pick but it is not guaranteed so you might end up with your second. so if ur okay with both it’s better to not suicide bid. only suicide bid if u genuinely can only see urself in that house and if u don’t get it then ur okay with not being in greek life at all or at least until the next primary recruitment
