i spoke to nupd. in both instances they are making arrests or arrests will be made soon but they can’t tell us anything yet. NUPD can only send an alert if there’s an active threat and if it occurred on campus (the drive by yday technically didn’t occur on campus). it sucks i know :/

chief of NUPD basically said this was a coincidence and there’s no threat to campus as of now. as a woman from here always have your location shared with someone, utilize the red eye shuttles, safety escorts, download safe zone, carry pepper spray that is 5% (NUPD offers classes on how to use it), and take a self defense class which NUPD has
