and to say that adding a paywall doesn't solve any of the problems plaguing the industry is a bald faced lie. it demonstrates to me you clearly haven't researched this topic. yes, there are certainly less than ethical payed porn options, but like everything else the personal responsibility falls on the the consumer to verify where there money is going. outside of that we live in an attention economy where your views are literally contributing to exploitation
i would even add that pornhub is actually more ethical leaning since they require identity verification to post in the first place and as a result, creators are compensated via ad revenue share like youtube operates

despite this pornhub has a lengthy history of publishing sexual abuse material (including child sexual abuse material). the person posting and receiving payment is not investigated to an extent that verifies the origin of the content or protects any people involved

secondly, the effects of pornography in the digital age are obvious to anyone, but adding a paywall doesn’t solve any of those problems, in fact it would INCENTIVIZE abuse and extortion because of the guarantee of compensation for sexual labor placed into a digital format where compensation may not exist today. on access, it is the platform’s responsibility to ensure that the correct measures are in place to segment content in a way that protects users
