Also I will be paying for dues on my own if I rushed. So idk if it’s worth it

meet as many ppl as you can and put yourself out there! and try ur best to stick it out even if you don’t get the chapter you want, it’s rly a rollercoaster and can be a lot sometimes

Try not to get caught up in all the side gossip about each house and just put your best self forward

Almost half of people who rush are second years, maybe more. Do not worry about that

There’s financial transparency papers you get for every chapter that shows you exactly how much everything costs for the first year + chapters usually have scholarships or payment plans

also most times people just have RBF but soften up once you get the ball rolling. i know i look unapproachable when im just by myself and plenty of people are the same way but are super cool when you risk it and get to know them. wishing u the best girl

join fun clubs and go to their events and literally just talk to people as much as you can

i always say stick with it until you have to pay! rush can be a rollercoaster but once you’re in it’s sm fun

never rushed but i think the key is to let go of the idea of embarrassment when putting yourself out there. no doubt there will be interactions where you walk away and cringe at yourself but i’ve always made myself feel better by reminding myself i prob won’t ever run into these people past college. made some of my closest friends with this mindset and just starting convos in class, with neighbors, with co-workers, in clubs, etc. definitely easier said than done
