Deadass. Idk why people seemingly assume that Boston’s low crime rate ≠ no crime ever. It’s fine to be a little scared but going crazy over these random incidents that are nothing uncommon in a major city isn’t gonna do u any good 😭

I agree that, with an over abundance of media coverage + political rhetoric surrounding it, violence has become a bit “normalized”. However, the OP is being extremely dramatic. Walk with a friend to class, don’t wear headphones, and just be aware of your surroundings even in areas that are deemed to be safer than others. Stating that violent crimes occur in larger cities is just a fact, they occur everywhere in the world 🤷♂️
