There are people with all sorts of relationship definitions that work out perfectly fine when both are aligned on it and being genuine about what they’re saying. It’s just that, well… both have to be aligned on it and genuine about what they’re saying. Obviously it’s a no-go for you, and if we make the (admittedly massive lol) leap to assume he’s acting in good faith, if an agreement can’t be reached then yeah leave that dude
