Depends on the situation tbh, if it’s just you two and you pull up with three other people it’s not weird. If you ask hey can someone come with us (especially when in a group) I feel it’s excessive

I mean abt the friend getting mad, if someone were to pull up with other people when we were hanging out I would be annoyed but if someone was to ask if someone else could tag along when we already have a group that’s chill
