This is kind of redundant since the threads already call it out on that post, but yeah as humans we are so quick to jump to justifying a group we are a part of (especially when we feel we are being labeled the same as the lowest common denominator within that group) that we don’t realize how selfish and not-the-point it looks

Then when women understandably get mad at it / criticize him for it, he takes it as ‘oh they say terrible women don’t exist,’ which belies his personal experiences, so now he feels 100% personally attacked, he hunkers down more… and eventually you get twitter. Lol

Also, consenting to one sexual act is not a blanket statement of consenting to sexual acts with other people. (This is illustrated in the screenshot you conveniently cropped out)
Yeah— I *get* why he (assuming they’re a he) made that post, especially as another guy, and it’s not just a straight evil statement, nor something that shouldn’t at all be considered. It’s just delivered at a) the wrong time and b) with little attention paid to the syntax (to the same extent as violent men? As common as violent men?) and both of those cases together paint the picture of someone who is really not considerate of those who have different experiences than him
