Should I rush as a sophomore/thoughts on the experience????

Dude as a freshman I did it, got mid tier chapter, but I dropped it once the first check came in and I realized I was gonna drop like $500 a semester paying for friends. Like you pay for them to put you on playdates and you pay to be invited to parties, made me feel like such a loser trying to pay instead of do it organically.

$500 just for dues, idk if you will be like 90% of Greek life and just make your parents pay for dues but it ends up stacking up to be over a thousand a semester if you factor in indirect costs like clothes, food, random shi so idk if thats something else that would influence your decision but it’s something to definitely think about

i wasnt sure i wanted to rush but i did and absolutely love my experience. i think its good to try if ur thinking about it and see how the process goes for u
