Guys I’m a sophomore transfer student and I have no idea where to look to find apartments with just NEU students or students in general. Who should I contact to help me or does anyone know anything helpful? #stressed

join the snapchat story, people always post sublets/lease stuff there. normally people put stuff in clubs/org group chats/slack, for example theres an excel sheet that panhellic does. ik thats not helpful since you’re not here yet tho. but there’s also this website for all students i’ll link it one moment
https://aptsearch.northeastern.edu/housing
Thank you. 🙏 I just joined the story and I’m checking out this link.
Does any office in the school help with housing or the cost of it all or do students just have to figure it out?
Thank you.
try to look here for some resources: https://offcampus.housing.northeastern.edu
like tbh if it’s general questions you can dm me or post on yikyak or even like use ai/chatgpt to help explain the typical process
Okay thank you, i honestly might reach out to the school to see if they would give me any chance at getting on campus housing just because I rely on aid so heavily. Thank you for helping.
Thank you yeah I’m hopeful to get a co-op eventually I am hoping they take all my credits and I’m not behind at all in my major. I also pay for everything by myself and It’s been stressful figuring out apartments for the first time alone! If you are open I’d love to get your Instagram or something through dms you seem nice and I know no one!
ofc, ik its difficult but trust you will find somewhere, even if its only a sublease!
hm tbh the school only really helps with on campus/dorms. they don’t have aid that goes to housing on or off campus. In the spring i talked to financial aid and i was told your tuition/grants will be completely separate from anything off campus so the only thing that could help would be fafsa essentially. i believe there may be people to talk to about off campus housing, but it’s essentially students just figuring it out.
yes it’s always worth a try. i also rely on aid too and sometimes the housing on campus is more expensive than off campus, so just pay attention to that as well. Also hopefully with co-op that will help. Being able to make money for a full time job for 6months helped me so much and i was able pay for my tuition with no issues (to be real: i pay everything on my own, no parents)
I mean yes but they’re not particular friendly nor helpful
neu has an office that helps support off campus housing
