I agree but also we live in an overconsumption society so we buy way more than we need like if we all just consumed at sufficient levels there would be way less trash

Honestly I think it started from recycling, they ran out of space in the bins so people started putting boxes wherever and then it blocked the trash chute (at least that’s what I hope)
They also don’t have the donation bins like they did at the end of spring which could contribute
