usually a professor/someone nominates you, it can be anyone but this year a lot of ppl nominated friends or were campaigning to be nominated 😭 like this is NOT smth you ask for

i'm honestly surprised the nominations aren't closed off in some way to "verified people only" (like faculty / staff / credible people) 😭
