Update: Today’s incident was someone trying to commit, but failed deescalation led to the person shooting and stabbing the police officers, leading to the person getting shot. It is not known if the kid was a northeastern student. Again, details TBC.
Not everyone can be deescalated and even the best deescalation attempts can fail. If someone is s**cidal they may not be in their right mind.
bro, what are they supposed to do? it was an armed robbery…if anything, the suspect should be grateful that they tried to de-escalate. the victim had a reasonable belief that their life was in danger. if anything, the cops had every right to kill the suspect. maybe this is a hot take, but I don’t petty people who commit armed robbery. can’t believe I even question if that is a hot take
