Sure, but typically college campuses even in cities don’t have as many violent crimes as we’ve had in the past week.
hot take but when you live in a city, there is violent crimes.... just make sure your safe and carry self defense items

For example, my friend goes to uChicago which is in an awful part of town but there is NEVER shit like this that happens on campus or their equivalent of Hemingway
Do you seriously believe that? 😭
Do you believe that three violent crimes in a week is typical for city college campuses?
Man I don’t know where you’ve been at that gave you that expectation, must be tough, cuz I’ve been in Boston for seven years and this is unheard of
I’m not saying that three violent crimes within this short of a time period isn’t a bad thing, it obviously is, but to say that this is something that’s unheard of for other college campuses is wild and nonsensical
And i’ve been in Boston my whole life, violent crimes occurring on a college campus are nothing new even here. Not saying that we should just ignore them or not try to curb them through proactive measures, but this isn’t some new Northeastern specific thing, especially when you take into account how open our campus (crimes that occur between two non-university students count due to how high traffic this area is) is and the geographic location we are situated in (20 min walk from mass + cass).
Nope, this is most definitely extremely rare for city campuses, especially campuses in relatively safe areas like Northeastern is
We saw multiple robberies (moped thieves), SA, and domestic violence incidents last year which are all under the category of violent crimes. Northeastern also doesn’t account for violent incidents and crimes that occur at MBTA stops, we had some kid shoot a guy at ruggles just a few years ago. Bad things have been happening at NEU every year, sometimes within the same short time frame that we’re seeing now, the only difference is that we’re all on edge and just noticing them more
